Dear Progressive Customers:
We hope you and your family are safe following the recent flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey beginning on August 25, 2017. We recognize you may have a lot to deal with right now and the last thing you should have to worry about is your vehicle insurance.
For those living in Aransas, Atascosa, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Bexar, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson, Caldwell, Calhoun, Cameron, Chambers, Colorado, Comal, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Grimes, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kerr, Kleberg, Lavaca, Lee, Leon, Liberty, Live Oak, Madison, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Polk, Refugio, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton, Willacy and Wilson counties, Texas, we have taken steps to help you focus on recovery while remaining confident you have the insurance you need. We'll keep your coverage active—even if you're unable to make a payment—through September 18, 2017*. This applies to any policy, including automobiles, motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles and commercial auto. If you don't want to maintain your policy, please call us as soon as possible.
If your policy is up for renewal between now and September 18, we'll send you a renewal offer and bill as usual. If you want to renew the policy, just pay the bill when you receive it or sometime on or before September 18, 2017.
Please note that whether you're maintaining or renewing a policy, the payment will need to be made in full and received or postmarked by September 18, 2017. So, for example, if you make installment payments and choose to wait until September 18, all of the installments will be due by that date. You simply have a little more time to make the payments.
If you elect to pay by Electronic Funds Transfer, we'll continue to withdraw your insurance payment from your bank account as usual, unless you call and ask us to stop.
We hope you and your family are safe as well. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us:
* The extension dates above do not represent a period of free coverage for customers. Customers will be required to pay the full amount due on their policies.
