South Carolina Severe Weather

Important Information About Your Vehicle
Insurance Policy

October 21, 2015

Dear Progressive Customers:

We hope you and your family are safe following the severe weather in your area. We recognize you may have a lot to deal with right now and the last thing you should have to worry about is your vehicle insurance.

For those living in portions of Bamberg, Berkeley, Calhoun, Colleton Charleston, Clarendon, Darlington, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Greenwood, Horry, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Orangeburg, Richland, Sumter and Williamsburg counties, we have taken steps to help you focus on recovery while remaining confident you have the insurance you need. We'll keep your coverage active—even if you're unable to make a payment right away. This applies to any policy, including automobiles, motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles and commercial auto. If you don't want to maintain your policy, please call us as soon as possible.

If your policy is up for renewal in October, we'll send you a renewal offer and bill as usual. If you want to renew the policy, just pay the bill when you receive it or within 30 days of your due date.

Please note that whether you're maintaining or renewing a policy, the payment will need to be made in full and received within 30 days of your due date. So, for example, if you make installment payments and choose to wait until the 30th day after your installment due date, all of the installments will be due by that date. You simply have a little more time to make the payments.

If you elect to pay by Electronic Funds Transfer, we'll continue to withdraw your insurance payment from your bank account as usual, unless you call and ask us to stop.

We hope you and your family are safe as well. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us:
